Appeal from a judgment of the Chautauqua County Court (John T. Ward, Jr., J.), rendered March 2, 2015. The judgment convicted defendant, upon a jury verdict, of murder in the second degree (two counts), arson in the first degree, burglary in the second degree and conspiracy in the fourth degree. On April 17, 2013, defendant, Steven Todd and Ricky Knickerbocker went to the residence of Gordon and Joyce Skinner, stole property, set the residence on fire and killed the Skinner. Defendant was acquitted of counts of murder in the first degree and murder in the second degree. Defendant was sentenced to concurrent and consecutive terms aggregating to 50 years to life.
