​Upon consideration and review by the four Departments of the Appellate Division, the question on United States citizenship and immigration status for applicants (current question 6) on the Application for Admission to Practice as an Attorney and Counselor at Law in the State of New York will be eliminated effective December 31, 2020. This change is implemented pursuant to Judiciary Law 90(1) and the rules of both the Court of Appeals and the Appellate Division relating to the admission of attorneys.
