Pursuant to directives from the Office of Court Administration in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all visitors to the courthouse must undergo temperature screening and answer a brief questionnaire prior to entering the courthouse. Visitors whose temperature is 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or greater, or whose answers to the questionnaire indicate an increased risk (e.g., you may not enter the courthouse if subject to quarantine under the New York State Covid-19 Travel Advisory), will be denied entry into the courthouse. Parties who refuse to be screened will also be denied entry.

All parties must wear a mask while in the courthouse (even while arguing). Bandanna scarfs/neck gaiters, vented masks, and face shields are not acceptable face coverings. All masks must be plain, i.e., without firm logos or other writing. All parties must also maintain a distance of six feet from others when possible while in the courthouse, and adhere to posted guidelines.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, members of the public, including clients, will not be allowed into the courthouse. Only parties indicated on the argument calendar will be permitted entry to the courtroom. Courtroom access will be limited during oral argument; only the parties involved in the case being argued and the immediately subsequent in-person case will be allowed in the courtroom. All other parties will be required to wait outside the courtroom, and will be invited by the Court Attendant to enter the courtroom at the appropriate time. Attorneys outside the courtroom will be able to monitor the progress of arguments via a video feed. Interested parties may also watch the proceedings live via ad4.nycourts.gov/go/live.
